Privacy Policy
Eight Health is built on a simple principle: your health data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains how the Eight Health app handles your information.
1. Data stays on your device
All health data you enter into Eight Health — including meals, workouts, sleep logs, supplements, symptoms, lab results, and reflection entries — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data is never transmitted to Eight Health servers, never sold, and never shared with third parties.
2. What we collect
Eight Health does not collect personally identifiable information. The app does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email address, or any contact information.
The only external service the app communicates with is our AI inference endpoint (Helix). When you use Helix, a summary of your logged health data — such as scores, meal logs, sleep patterns, and workout history — is sent to generate your response. This context never includes your name, email address, device identifiers, or any other personally identifying information. The data sent to Helix is used solely to generate your AI response and is not stored, used for training, or shared with any third party.
3. Apple Health integration
If you choose to connect Apple Health, Eight Health reads health data (steps, workouts, sleep) from your device's Health app. This data is read locally and never leaves your device. You can disconnect Apple Health at any time from the app's Settings.
4. Withings integration
If you connect a Withings scale, body composition data is retrieved directly from Withings' servers to your device. Eight Health does not store this data on any server. You can disconnect Withings at any time from Settings.
5. In-app purchases
Eight Health offers optional subscriptions (Eight Health+) processed entirely through Apple's App Store. Eight Health does not collect or store your payment information. All billing is handled by Apple.
6. Analytics and tracking
Eight Health does not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking tools. We do not track your behavior across apps or websites.
7. RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous device identifier to validate your subscription entitlements. No personally identifiable information is shared. You can review RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
8. Deleting your data
You can permanently delete all locally stored health data at any time by going to Settings → Delete All Data within the app. This action is irreversible. Uninstalling the app also removes all locally stored data from your device.
9. Children's privacy
Eight Health is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
