Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Eight Health mobile application. By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. About Eight Health
Eight Health is a personal health tracking application that helps you log and understand your health across eight pillars: Physical Activity, Nutrition, Sleep, Substance Use, Social Connection, Mental Wellness, Mindfulness, and Intimate & Personal wellbeing. The app provides a composite health score and AI-powered insights based on the data you enter.
2. Not medical advice
Eight Health is a personal wellness tool, not a medical device or service. The information, scores, insights, and AI responses provided by the app are for informational and motivational purposes only. Nothing in Eight Health constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns. Do not disregard professional medical advice based on anything you read or see in Eight Health.
3. Your account and data
Eight Health does not require you to create an account. All health data is stored locally on your device. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your device and the accuracy of the data you enter. You can delete all app data at any time via Settings → Delete All Data.
4. Eight Health+ subscriptions
Eight Health offers an optional premium subscription (Eight Health+) that unlocks additional features including Ask Helix, Deep Analysis, Helix Meal Suggester, Grocery Order Import, Scan Plate, and Lab Results Import.
- Subscriptions are available on a monthly ($9.99/month) or annual ($59.99/year) basis
- Annual subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for new subscribers
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law
- Prices may change with reasonable notice
All billing is processed by Apple through the App Store. Eight Health does not have access to your payment information.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Eight Health only for lawful personal health tracking purposes. You agree not to:
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app in any way that could harm, disable, or impair it
- Use the app to track or monitor another person without their consent
- Attempt to circumvent subscription requirements or payment systems
6. Intellectual property
Eight Health and all its content, features, and functionality — including but not limited to the scoring system, Helix AI, design, and text — are owned by Eight Health and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
7. Disclaimer of warranties
Eight Health is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information provided by the app or its AI features.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Eight Health shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Changes to the service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of Eight Health at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Eight Health after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
